Pack Up + Go Travel Agency

I’ve really been slacking with writing any posts lately. Its been an equal mixture of work, exhaustion, and being uninspired. That is until yesterday, when my sister in law and I booked a trip for two through and I am EXCITED about it. What’s Pack Up + Go? It’s a surprise travel agency and basically, we threw money at strangers who we are trusting to send us somewhere cool. We have no idea where we’re going yet and I kind of like it that way.

Everyone thinks we’re crazy, but we think they’re the crazy ones.

I feel like you’re wondering how this even works, so here we go.

  • First, we gave them a budget.
  • Then, filled out a reasonably long questionnaire. It asked about our likes and dislikes, where we’ve been lately and where we’re planning to go soon, climate we prefer, etc.
  • After booking our trip, we received confirmation of our upcoming trip.

They handle the transportation and hotel accommodations. We just sit back and wait. How cool is that?

A week before our mystery trip, they’ll send us the weather for where we’re going, tips on what to pack, and where and when to go to depart.

A couple of days before we leave, we’ll receive an envelope in the mail with our location and curated itinerary designed based off our preferences and interests. BUT WAIT! We aren’t supposed to open the envelope just yet.

If we can hold out, which I know we will, we will open our envelope in the airport, minutes before we board. I keep saying “airport” like I know we’ll be flying. I mean I assume we’ll be flying.

We won’t know where we’re going or what we’re doing until minutes before we leave. It’s the perfect plan for a couple of people who just want to get away for a few days and don’t want to bother with the details…  which is apparently us.

You know I’ll be tying health and fitness into the travel plans and will be on the lookout for all the things I can do when we get to where we’re going.

Is it May yet?

Tell me what you think!
