Livia – No More Pain. Period.

If you’re anything like me, I absolutely dread “that time of the month”.

It’s different for everyone, but for me it means 2 or 3 days of cycling between excruciating pain and ibuprofen.

Lots and lots of ibuprofen.

I personally cut that out about a year ago, leaving only CBD and essential oils to moderate my pain. It does help a lot, but sometimes it just doesn’t cut it.

A few months ago, Livia came on my radar and it offers instant, drug free menstrual pain relief.

Do what? Instant? Drug Free???? Come to find out, it uses electronic pulses to stop our nerves from sending pain signals to our brain. Cool, huh?

It was right around Christmas when I found this company, and asked my mom for one. I didn’t receive it, so it was up to me to get one myself. $149.99 isn’t too bad, especially if it means relief like they promise. They also offer a 120 day money back guarantee. I either find the answer to my period woe’s, or I get my money back. It’s a win/win ladies. Win. Win.

I decided to shoot them a DM on Instagram to ask if their affiliates receive a discount on their first unit. I was not an affiliate, but if it meant I would get a discount I would certainly apply. To my surprise, they offered to send me one for free in exchange for a review! I received my brand new Livia unit a couple of weeks ago, just in time for my next period.

So, here we are.

In the kit is the unit itself, silicone cover of your choosing (I chose teal), charging USB, flower pads, replacement gel pads and the user’s manual.

My first impression was the packaging is clean and simple, it looks super comfortable and um it’s adorable.

I opened it up, looked through what was sent and put it on the charger. I literally couldn’t wait until I could use it and that time has quickly come.

Ladies, trust me when I say: YOU WANT THIS.

On second thought, you don’t just want it. YOU. NEED. THIS.

Pain relief is immediate, within 30 seconds of turning it on. No pills. No heating pads. No nothing.

It’s extremely simple to use. Remove the plastic discs off of the flower pads, put them on your lower abdomen, plug it in the unit, turn it on and boom.

I’m going to be honest and say that it’s similar to a tens unit in the way that it works, but that is the end of the comparison. I’ve seen a lot of comments on their Instagram and Facebook page about how it’s basically a tens unit with a pink tax on it. These people are wrong and have not had the pleasure of using Livia. Below are my personal comparisons and opinions on this unique product.

First, the size of the carrying case.large

The product on the left is a typical tens unit. It comes in a container the size of a small brief case and is not easy to carry around. In fact the one time I did use it, I felt like everyone was looking at it wondering a) what is that and b) what is she doing with it.

The product on the right is Livia in it’s tiny carrying case. Everything you need for pain relief is in it and nobody has to know you even have it. It can be tossed in your purse, lunch box, desk drawer or anywhere else. Yeah, it’s like that.

Second, the length of the wires.

long cord

This was a big one for me.

The wires from the unit to electric nodes on a typical tens unit are very long, as it’s made for use on any body part. I tried working out with it and it was a big ol fail. The cord either hangs down to your knee or it gets tucked inside your leggings/shorts/whatever you’re wearing. It can be very irritating, especially after starting to sweat.

Livia, on the other hand, is made specific for menstrual cramps and for that reason, the cords are short.

Third, the size and look of the unit.units.png

Such. A. Big. Difference.

The tens unit is between 2/3 times the length and much heavier than Livia. When clipped on the top of my pants, the tens unit sticks out from underneath my shirt. Livia can be easily hidden by shirts or even slipped into your pocket.

I’m certainly not dogging the tens unit. It has it’s uses but for women and our periods, Livia is the way to go.

If you can’t tell, I absolutely love Livia and will shout their praises from the roof tops.

To summarize, Livia is:

  • 100% safe for women’s usage and causes no reproductive harm
  • Patented
  • Small + discrete
  • Drug free
  • Easy to use

Livia is my new best friend, and know it will be yours too.

Order yours right here, and thank me later.
