Forks Over Knives – Plant Based Cooking Instruction

I am tickled to DEATH to be writing this blog post.

I have officially registered for this amazing course from Forks Over Knives.


I have been looking around at online cooking classes for a couple of weeks. I thought it would be a great addition to my NASM certifications and my AFPA Holistic Nutritionist certification. I’m working on the nutrition course, but it won’t be long before it’s complete.

Over the last almost 4 years, I have certainly dabbled in the primarily plant based lifestyle.

By dabbled, I mean completely winged it while relying on fruit, oatmeal and quinoa to make it through. While nothing is wrong with fruit, oatmeal and quinoa, there’s more to this lifestyle than that. I have always felt best while limiting meat, dairy, and processed foods, I just wasn’t sure how to go about it to be sustainable.

Between the AFPA Holistic Nutrition certification I’m currently studying and the Forks Over Knives cooking course, by late Spring I will not only how to apply it to my own life, I’ll be primed and ready to help others do the same.

I love to cook, especially my weekly meal prep. Standing back and looking at my food for the week after it’s been cooked is one of my favorite things to do. In this online cooking course, I’ll learn:

  • How to select a knife set (I already have one but I’m still interested)
  • Skills to handle a chefs knife (I’m self taught so I’ll love actual instruction)
  • Steaming
  • Roasting
  • How to use herbs
  • Flavor balancing
  • and so much more


Class starts March 5th!
